She was a member of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Career Development Fellowship Panel, Investigator Grant Panel (2019-2022), Ideas Grant Panel (2023-2024) and served as Member and Deputy Chair on NHMRC Grant Review Panels. Executive Coaching Program
Award-winning career life coach and mentor to enhance your career. Central to Mary’s coaching programs is achieving career life balance. Individualised programs for one-on-one or small group Career Life & Executive Coaching. Program offerings include Bronze (1 session), Silver (2 sessions), Gold (4 sessions) or Diamond (6 sessions) packages of either 30- or 60-minutes in duration by zoom or in person and includes ongoing phone and email support. Coaching is suitable for any career stage.
Expertise sought to assess the quality and impact of grants, fellowships and promotion applications that cover the breadth of research from basic and applied science to health and medical research integrating partnerships and industry engagement. Recent member of NHMRC Ideas Grants (2023-2024) and Investigator Grant (2019-2022) panels. Based on the expertise developed with senior executive positions at The University of Melbourne (Associate Dean (Research); Deputy Dean, Melbourne School of Graduate Research) and recently with Wlodek Consulting, Professor Wlodek provides evaluation and advisory services on complex research integrity problems and investigations including those involving research higher degree (PhD, MPhil) students and supervisors.
Career Development Seminars
Deliver small and large group career development opportunities through seminars and presentations. Have delivered >70 programs. Programs are tailored to needs and are from 1-hour to half and full day sessions. Broad topics include: career direction setting, planning & development; research career (reputation, influencing, publishing, grants); leadership skills; strategic skills; integration & life skills including work/life balance.
Supervisor Training
Based on the expertise developed with senior executive positions at The University of Melbourne (Associate and Deputy Dean, Melbourne School of Graduate Research) and recently with Wlodek Consulting, Professor Wlodek develops and delivers supervisor training programs. These programs are targeted to supervision of research Honours and higher degree (PhD, MPhil, Masters by Research) students as well as early-mid career researchers. Professor Wlodek developed and delivered university-wide and faculty specific graduate research supervisor training, across all disciplines; this training was compulsory for all supervisors at The University of Melbourne.
